And what it is
For one to taste
What others seem
To put to waste.
When starved to death
And left to thirst,
From soil you lift
The very worst.
It's what they said
When they did leave,
What now does cure
And does relieve,
And fills you up
And makes you whole.
The ignorant
Has lost his soul.
The greed has made
The man go blind.
He puts to waste
What one would find
To be the most
Important part,
A piece of life,
A work of art.
What does complete
Was left to rot,
With spirits weak,
A food for thought.
The value of
The common good
The lesson learned
And understood.
And from the earth,
He is made full.
And man accepts
The devils pull,
The sins of those
That put to waste.
The man does cry
Upon this taste.
